"The Boss Has arrived"
Lloyds Transport has added a new flagship tractor unit to their ever increasing fleet of trucks. The Renault magnum is one of the largest trucks available in Western Europe, with a more modern shape, Renault Magnum exudes power and strength, with its roof design, aerodynamic side deflectors, sun visor and grab handles on the front panel. The 3 segment wraparound bumper is made from ultra-strong materials and features a colour-coded centre piece to match the radiator grille, as well as a non-slip step to get to the windshield. The Renault Magnum is equipped with a new, more powerful 520 bhp Martin Lloyd (MD) was very impressed with the new Renault Magnum so much so that he has decided to venture back out onto the open road himself and aptly named this recent addition “The Boss”. Investing in Improvements Lloyds transport is continually investing in both their vehicles and premises and have now completed the next phase of improvements at their head office site in Malthouse Road Tipton. Originally only half of the site was concrete with the remaining half made up of hardcore and planning’s. Martin Lloyd (MD) comments “the problem with continually driving heavy trucks over soft ground is that it constantly moves and breaks down into dust this creates problems not only for us but also for our neighbours”
Therefore the remaining half of the yard has been excavated and a heavy duty road surface laid complete with white line markings for parking the trucks in a uniformed way. Lloyds transports philosophy is clear regarding the working environment, we must continue to invest in all areas of the business and by improving such areas as the yard makes it easier for our drivers to park up and keep the vehicles clean. Internal improvements are to be started soon.
Lloyds Go Green
In reaction to this realisation Martin has devised a way of collecting rain water and now all of the company vehicles are washed by using the recycled rain water, after all Martin concluded “with the amount of rain fall we are having at the moment I don’t think supply will be a problem” Lloyds transport are very conscientious of their carbon footprint reduction and have already replaced 18 of their trucks with the lowest emission engines that are euro 5 compliant and more fuel efficient. The company is currently reviewing all of its practices and will reduce its carbon footprint further more in the near future.

Tim brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the truck industry having spent his former years selling both trucks and after sales for Scania & MAN. Tim commented “it’s a tough environment out there at the moment but I am up for the challenge and these early days in my new role have proven fruitful. It’s a case of having the right approach and actually providing the customer with exactly what you offer, Lloyds transport is a growing company with a very professional management team that all adopt a can do will do attitude, we have a strong and positive team of drivers and a modern fleet of trucks, There is a definite buzz at Lloyds at the moment that I haven’t seen in a long time and it seemed to be the right time to join the company. Managing director Martin Lloyd commented “with the way the company has evolved it was the right time to bring Tim on board, we have clearly defined goals here at Lloyds and in order to achieve them we had to appoint someone who could dedicate all of their time on developing both new and existing customers hopefully Tim with achieve both over the coming month we wish him well in his new role and welcome him on board”
